Andrea, a Bay Area native, began creating at a young age. In high school, she learned to develop black and white film and fell in love with photography. Her photography, painting, and mixed media work have been featured in both solo and group exhibitions, and her ceramic art has been featured in the Annual California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts in Davis, CA. Before joining EPACENTER ARTS, she worked with youth for eight years through several organizations to advocate for and advance learning, development, mental health, and expression. She received her BA in Psychology from San Jose State University where she also took courses in photography, drawing, painting, and ceramics. She also received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University. Currently, Andrea serves as a teaching artist who is committed to providing youth with arts environments within which they can cultivate their creative expression.
