The “Future Home” art installation at the corner of Bay and Pulgas marks the place where our new building will stand. It announces to the community that this space – currently an empty lot of toxic soil – will soon be transformed into a welcoming, creative place for young people and the broader community. This piece was created by our youth and EPACENTER ARTS artist, Scape Martinez. At a closer glance, the viewer can find individual statements of student identity, values and pride. Just after the creation of this piece, Scape joined our team as Visual Arts Program Manager.
