Debut Painting Exhibition

Art Spotlight | Posted on August 5, 2019

For this exhibition, high school students in Andrea Acosta’s visual arts class learned how to paint abstract pour paintings using acrylic paint and glue. “This was beneficial to students,” Andrea says, “Because most of the time they are more familiar with representational art and they try to recreate it. But by creating abstract art, they learned to become more spontaneous and free-flowing in their artistic process, and learned that different outcomes are still considered art. This process is what created these unique pieces.” Check out the students’ artwork below!
