Youth and EPA Musician work with BAYCAT

EPACENTER ARTS youth worked on a three-minute fundraising video with Bayview-Hunters Point Center for Arts and Technology (BAYCAT). BAYCAT is a nonprofit based in San Francisco that educates, empowers and employs young people from historically underserved Bay Area communities in the digital media arts including video production, music production, animation, graphic and web design. EPACENTER ARTS youth are featured as talent and were also involved in developing the creative concept and writing the script. They also had an opportunity to learn post-production skills with Adobe Premier Pro at BAYCAT’s studio. Additionally, we hired local EPA musician Adrion Johnson to do the voiceover of a powerful poem written by Marvin and the BAYCAT team, which is featured in the video. This has been a wonderfully productive partnership with a like-minded organization and we are grateful for everyone’s input, ideas, creativity and effort. Check out a clip of the video that was edited by our youth!
