Visual Arts

Through exposure, practice, and application, EPACENTER ARTS’ visual arts program supports our students throughout each phase of their artistic journey. Our programs provide a variety of entry points into visual arts pathways, whether it be a hands-on beginner workshop, a group critique, or an internship working alongside gifted artists.


Drawing 101: Six Elements of Art

When: Monday from 4:15-5:15pm
Where: Girls Club of the Peninsula
Who’s teaching: Troy
Who can participate: Girls ages 8-15. All levels.
Program Description: Learn basic drawing and painting techniques.
Class size/limit: 5-10. Open enrollment.


Studio EPA

When: Tuesday and Thursday from 4-7pm
Where: 763 Green Street
Who’s teaching: Scape
Who can participate: Youth ages 13-18. Intermediate to Advanced level.
Program Description: Transformative graffiti-based art program that does creative place making around the city.
Class size/limit: Limited to 10. Open enrollment.


Open Art Studio

When: Wednesday and Friday from 3-7pm
Where: 763 Green Street
Who’s teaching: Scape
Who can participate: Children and youth ages 12-25. All levels.
Program Description: Drop-in and work on your own art piece or get informal instruction from one of our professional artists. You bring an open mind and some creativity and we’ll provide the supplies.
Class size/limit: Limited to 10. No enrollment required.


Visual Arts Class

(in partnership with Live In Peace)

When: Wednesday from 11-12pm
Where: Live in Peace
Who’s teaching: Troy
Program Description: Re-entry and credit recovery class for students making positive steps towards high school graduation.
Who can participate: Youth ages 13-18 in the Sequoia Union High School District who require additional arts credits.


Visual Arts Class

(in partnership with Bayshore Christian Ministries)

When: Thursday from 4-5:30pm
Where: BCM (Bayshore Christian Ministries)
Who’s teaching: Troy
Program Description: Learn basic art techniques through figure drawing, cartooning, and drawing fundamentals.
Who can participate: BCM students.
